The Sweetest Thing

Someone told me that they have given up on love. I was horrified. Even in my loneliess of times, I always believed in love. It is the sweetest thing I have ever known. The belief that you will find someone who understands you and will love you in spite of should be enough to keep hope of what could be. It is a calculated risk to give your heart to someone because you can gain everything or lose everything. So to me love is still the sweetest thing that I have ever known like a kiss on my collarbone.
